I've been a bit underwhelmed with the subscription, but am putting my faith in John Wind

Let me start with the positives - John Wind customer service is phenomenal. They do their best to right wrongs and they take customer feedback seriously. They try to tailor the boxes by adding products with your first name initial in them, which is a cute touch. And John Wind jewelry and items are whimsical. They're unique. People ask about them. "What's that bracelet/necklace you're wearing?" I always proudly direct them to John Wind.

As for the subscription boxes, I've really wanted to love them, but I'm just not quite there. I've received duplicate boxes and broken items. I literally now have THREE identical pairs of one type of earring, one pair that looks like a very close cousin to the three, two other pairs of earrings that are identical to each other but are different colors aaaaand two identical brooches. Sometimes, the items like like the kind of cheap costume jewelry you would get at a Halloween costume shop (like those three pairs of duplicate crystal earrings I've received. I couldn't even talk my five year old niece into taking a pair.) The broken items I've received are a result of insufficient packing materials and typical rough shipping transit. When the products arrive intact and are not mass made repeats, the boxes are a lot of fun. I do find the key chains and glasses chains are not particularly exciting though. One was great, but now I've gotten two key holds and...meh. And in all of that, I've received a really beautiful lariat necklace, and gorgeous layered necklaces, and stone choker necklaces, etc. So not all bad. Just a lot of hit and miss. Some ooohs and ahhs.

All that said, I'm committed to receiving the boxes for the foreseeable future. I'm hopeful that the offerings will improve as John Wind works out the kinks in their subscription service program.

If you're thinking of trying the subscription service, I think you should. It's an easy way to add variety to your style wardrobe. It's also an affordable way to begin collecting some highly coveted John Wind jewelry pieces. Yes, there have been some issues. But the company has been responsive and committed to making the process better. And the best part of all of this is knowing you are doing your part to support a true artist.

If you like jewelry this is way too much fun! My box came filled with first rate gorgeous pieces with a black-and-white white theme. Each piece was lovely and mixes and matches! I wear them all the time and always get compliments!
