The Golden Bachelorette Has Made Bee Jewelry All the Buzz

Bees have been a recurring theme in our jewelry since I first became a designer. We all celebrate the values they represent, including hard work, resilience, and a strong sense of community. They pollinate much of our food supply and play a vital role in the environment. Their “small but mighty” spirit represents the power of dedication and teamwork.

The Queen Bee's Symbolism

At the same time, the Queen Bee represents leadership, femininity and fertility. She is the matriarch, guiding, sustaining and protecting her community. I think this is what people connect to when they wear bee jewelry. It’s not just about looking good; it’s about wearing a symbol of strength and unity. Each piece is a little reminder of the value of working together, supporting each other, and doing our part to help the world flourish—just like bees do every day.

Our Bee Inspired Necklace & Earrings

Translating this into jewelry, I combined hand-antiqued golden bees with crème-hued baroque pearls for a feminine, heirloom look

I also love combing a black or white enamel finish with crystals for a more graphic, modern vibe.

The Golden Bachelorette Shows Off Her Bee Necklace

Recently Joan Vassos, The Golden Bachelorette, has been wearing a pearl and bee necklace similar to those in our collection. Joan has a magnetic presence, and she embodies the qualities that our bee jewelry represents. Her journey on the show has shown her as resilient, wise, and graceful. She’s someone who knows herself and isn’t afraid to embrace life’s opportunities—a perfect match for the bee, which represents courage, exploration, and community.

Joan’s choice to wear a bee necklace has resonated with so many people. Her fans see it as a symbol of her strength and independence, as well as her warmth and kindness. Because of this, new customers are discovering our Bumble Necklaces as well~ Bee jewelry has been meaningful for years, but now, as we face environmental and societal challenges, the bee’s message of community and resilience feels more important than ever. Bees are essential to our ecosystem, yet they’re at risk from climate change and other factors. Wearing bee jewelry is a subtle but powerful reminder of our connection to nature and our responsibility to protect it. I’m proud that my work can help bring awareness to these issues and allow people to wear their values proudly.
