Once you place the order, we will follow up with an email questionnaire asking you for meaningful initials and birth months; favorite hobbies, holidays, and colors; good luck symbols, personal style, passions, and more. Please allow 24-48 hours to receive this form.
John will propose a bracelet, selecting charms from his extensive 30+ year archive. You’ll have the opportunity to give feedback and see any changes before it is completed.

We use a variety of materials. A few key ingredients are: charms are made of brass or pewter, chains are steel or aluminum, austrian crystal, vintage glass, pearls, lacquered cotton balls, rhinestones and resin. we use different plating finishes including sterling silver and 24K gold.
All of our metal parts are plated with 24kt gold or sterling silver. They are finished with a variety of materials to increase durability~ including e-coat, lacquer, and hand antique. The original parts, however, come from many places and from tools that have been in use for decades. Given that, a range of finishes (brightness, darkness, etc.) is to be expected, and in fact is part of what makes JW/MA unique!
Our chain bracelets have a standard length of 7 3⁄4 —8 1⁄2”, this measurement is end to end- including the lobster claw and end rings. Most bracelets come with 2 end rings making the piece slightly adjustable. We offer several different lengths of necklaces, but the most common are 18”, 24” and 30” necklaces. Other fashion lengths include 20”, 36”, 50”, and 68”.
Need a custom size? We find that most everyone can find a piece of our jewelry that is appropriate for them; however, every once in a while we get requests for custom sizes. We will happily place a special order for you if possible; please email us for pricing.
Our signature cotton ball pearls are really made out of cotton! It is real cotton that is then handspun into our beautiful pearls. While they are coated and lacquered, they are not meant for everyday wear~ and they do not like water, makeup, perfumes, or hairspray... Think of them as special occasion pieces.
We do offer cotton pearl replacements for a small fee! Email us for further instructions.
We pride ourselves on offering a lot of look for a very reasonable price. That, in addition to the plated metals and the wide range of materials used, means that the jewelry should be treated with care and not worn every day...tempting as it is! But by including our designs as part of your jewelry wardrobe, our pieces will last for many years. (Customers and friends regularly show off their ‘vintage’ pieces from the 80’s and 90’s, and they still look great)! Also, gentle aging and wear are a natural part of the process, and actually enhance the vintage look of the designs.
Jewelry should be stored in pouches or bags to keep the dust away. Silver-plated jewelry in particular should be stored in air-tight bags. If the silver tarnishes, use a dry 100% cotton cloth (and a little muscle) to wipe the piece clean.
Using silver polish, water, or polishing cloths can actually break the sealing coat and will ultimately cause the piece to tarnish more. Perfume, hairspray and lotions can also do harm. Also, showering with our jewelry will damage it as well since it is not fine gold.
Make our jewelry the last thing you put on when you’re getting ready.

Crystal Bauble Earrings
Vintage chandelier crystals from New York’s legendary Waldorf Astoria Hotel, now reinvented as modern jewels. These earrings feature matched crystals, suspended from an Art Deco-inspired construction.
Please note: These crystals are from a vintage chandelier and have illuminated many celebrations and milestones over the years. While we select each carefully, there may be gentle signs of age on the surface and edges of some crystals. This is a sign of authenticity and part of the historic nature of the project.

Venice Rainbow Dusters
Vintage glass flowers and leaves from artisan studios in Venice set the tone for these feminine, eclectic earrings. Mixed with other glass and pearl beads, each pair is a true conversation piece.
We use a variety of materials. A few key ingredients are: charms are made of brass or pewter, chains are steel or aluminum, austrian crystal, vintage glass, pearls, lacquered cotton balls, rhinestones and resin. we use different plating finishes including sterling silver and 24K gold.
All of our metal parts are plated with 24kt gold or sterling silver. They are finished with a variety of materials to increase durability~ including e-coat, lacquer, and hand antique. The original parts, however, come from many places and from tools that have been in use for decades. Given that, a range of finishes (brightness, darkness, etc.) is to be expected, and in fact is part of what makes JW/MA unique!
Our chain bracelets have a standard length of 7 3⁄4 —8 1⁄2”, this measurement is end to end- including the lobster claw and end rings. Most bracelets come with 2 end rings making the piece slightly adjustable. We offer several different lengths of necklaces, but the most common are 18”, 24” and 30” necklaces. Other fashion lengths include 20”, 36”, 50”, and 68”.

Our signature cotton ball pearls are really made out of cotton! It is real cotton that is then handspun into our beautiful pearls. While they are coated and lacquered, they are not meant for everyday wear~ and they do not like water, makeup, perfumes, or hairspray... Think of them as special occasion pieces.

Floral Acrylic Initial Bag Charm and Keychains
One of the stars of the spring 2020 collection, these happy initials contrast vintage floral illustrations with a bold white background. They are silkscreened on clear acrylic and then laser cut; A baroque pearl nestled in a leaf adds the finishing touch. Clip to your bag, use as a keychain, or both. Semi-precious Chandelier Initial Necklace
Vintage chandelier crystals from New York’s legendary Waldorf Astoria Hotel, now reinvented as modern jewels. Suspended from the delicate toggle closure are a crystal and our signature coin initials, creating a unique and feminine Y silhouette. Looks great layered with our Chandelier Lariat Necklace~
Please note: These crystals are from a vintage chandelier and have illuminated many celebrations and milestones over the years. While we select each carefully, there may be gentle signs of age on the surface and edges of some crystals. This is a sign of authenticity and part of the historic nature of the project.

We use a variety of materials. A few key ingredients are: charms are made of brass or pewter, chains are steel or aluminum, austrian crystal, vintage glass, pearls, lacquered cotton balls, rhinestones and resin. we use different plating finishes including sterling silver and 24K gold.
All of our metal parts are plated with 24kt gold or sterling silver. They are finished with a variety of materials to increase durability~ including e-coat, lacquer, and hand antique. The original parts, however, come from many places and from tools that have been in use for decades. Given that, a range of finishes (brightness, darkness, etc.) is to be expected, and in fact is part of what makes JW/MA unique!
Our chain bracelets have a standard length of 7 3⁄4 —8 1⁄2”, this measurement is end to end- including the lobster claw and end rings. Most bracelets come with 2 end rings making the piece slightly adjustable. We offer several different lengths of necklaces, but the most common are 18”, 24” and 30” necklaces. Other fashion lengths include 20”, 36”, 50”, and 68”.
Need a custom size? We find that most everyone can find a piece of our jewelry that is appropriate for them; however, every once in a while we get requests for custom sizes. We will happily place a special order for you if possible; please email us for pricing.
Our signature cotton ball pearls are really made out of cotton! It is real cotton that is then handspun into our beautiful pearls. While they are coated and lacquered, they are not meant for everyday wear~ and they do not like water, makeup, perfumes, or hairspray... Think of them as special occasion pieces.
We do offer cotton pearl replacements for a small fee! Email us for further instructions.
We pride ourselves on offering a lot of look for a very reasonable price. That, in addition to the plated metals and the wide range of materials used, means that the jewelry should be treated with care and not worn every day...tempting as it is! But by including our designs as part of your jewelry wardrobe, our pieces will last for many years. (Customers and friends regularly show off their ‘vintage’ pieces from the 80’s and 90’s, and they still look great)! Also, gentle aging and wear are a natural part of the process, and actually enhance the vintage look of the designs.
Jewelry should be stored in pouches or bags to keep the dust away. Silver-plated jewelry in particular should be stored in air-tight bags. If the silver tarnishes, use a dry 100% cotton cloth (and a little muscle) to wipe the piece clean.
Using silver polish, water, or polishing cloths can actually break the sealing coat and will ultimately cause the piece to tarnish more. Perfume, hairspray and lotions can also do harm. Also, showering with our jewelry will damage it as well since it is not fine gold.
Make our jewelry the last thing you put on when you’re getting ready.

Each John Wind design is made to order here in our Philadelphia studio. Orders will be shipped within 1-2 weeks, unless purchased from exclusive collection. Expedited shipping is available for added cost. Please note that 2nd Day and next day shipping methods indicate the transit time once the order is picked up by the carrier and does not include our 2 week production time. You will be notified via email when your order ships.
Our studio is located right outside Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, and all orders are produced and shipped from this location.
Our orders are shipped through UPS or USPS. UPS does not ship to a PO Box. Please supply us with a street address.
Once your order is shipped and in the hands of the carrier, John Wind Jewelry has no control when unforeseen transit/weather delays occur.
Yes, we will ship anywhere you need us to, but the shipping price noted on your order is only an estimate. We will do our best not to exceed this amount, but may contact you if there are any problems.

When I was a little girl we would go to the Waldorf for tea or luncheon if you got good grades, or did something exceptionally well, such a treat! This beautiful piece of history that lays elegantly around your neck is amazing, absolutely amazing! The charm with my initial, the placement of the crystal and the delicate chain with its toggle clasp make you feel that you are getting ready for tea or luncheon in that beautiful hotel once again. I have worn it with a dress at dinner and with a t-shirt and jeans for drinks on the water, and received many compliments in the times that I have worn it out. Thank you John Wind!
