John Wind signature cotton pearl earrings are pretty, delicate, and romantic. Lightweight and versatile, they are perfect for everyday.

MATERIALS:
We use a variety of materials. A few key ingredients are: charms are made of brass or pewter, chains are steel or aluminum, austrian crystal, vintage glass, pearls, lacquered cotton balls, rhinestones and resin. we use different plating finishes including sterling silver and 24K gold.
VARIATIONS IN METAL PLATING:
All of our metal parts are plated with 24kt gold or sterling silver. They are finished with a variety of materials to increase durability~ including e-coat, lacquer, and hand antique. The original parts, however, come from many places and from tools that have been in use for decades. Given that, a range of finishes (brightness, darkness, etc.) is to be expected, and in fact is part of what makes JW/MA unique!

SIZING:
Our chain bracelets have a standard length of 7 3⁄4 —8 1⁄2”, this measurement is end to end- including the lobster claw and end rings. Most bracelets come with 2 end rings making the piece slightly adjustable. We offer several different lengths of necklaces, but the most common are 18”, 24” and 30” necklaces. Other fashion lengths include 20”, 36”, 50”, and 68”.
Need a custom size? We find that most everyone can find a piece of our jewelry that is appropriate for them; however, every once in a while we get requests for custom sizes. We will happily place a special order for you if possible; please email us for pricing.

Also, gentle aging and wear are a natural part of the process, and actually enhance the vintage look of the designs.

Jewelry should be stored in pouches or bags to keep the dust away. Silver-plated jewelry in particular should be stored in air-tight bags. If the silver tarnishes, use a dry 100% cotton cloth (and a little muscle) to wipe the piece clean.
Using silver polish, water, or polishing cloths can actually break the sealing coat and will ultimately cause the piece to tarnish more. Perfume, hairspray and lotions can also do harm. Also, showering with our jewelry will damage it as well since it is not fine gold.
Make our jewelry the last thing you put on when you’re getting ready.

Make our jewelry the last thing you put on when you’re getting ready.

Collector’s Sorority Gal Bracelet with Cotton Pearl
This one is for the real John Wind collector—Your initial and a 20mm cotton pearl hang from a dramatic, triple link cable chain. The bracelet is then clasped with a cool, oversized toggle and ring modeled on a vintage original.
Two-tone is the most popular variation, though we also offer classic gold and silver~
The initial coins are hand-pressed in a New England jewelry factory that has been making them since the original heyday of sororities in the 1950’s, hence the name. John rediscovered them over ten years ago, and they have since become our signature design, featured on Oprah’s O List and worn by thousands of fans nation-wide.

All of our metal parts are plated with 24kt gold or sterling silver. They are finished with a variety of materials to increase durability~ including e-coat, lacquer, and hand antique. The original parts, however, come from many places and from tools that have been in use for decades. Given that, a range of finishes (brightness, darkness, etc.) is to be expected, and in fact is part of what makes JW/MA unique!

Our chain bracelets have a standard length of 7 3⁄4 —8 1⁄2”, this measurement is end to end- including the lobster claw and end rings. Most bracelets come with 2 end rings making the piece slightly adjustable. We offer several different lengths of necklaces, but the most common are 18”, 24” and 30” necklaces. Other fashion lengths include 20”, 36”, 50”, and 68”.

Our signature cotton ball pearls are really made out of cotton! It is real cotton that is then handspun into our beautiful pearls. While they are coated and lacquered, they are not meant for everyday wear~ and they do not like water, makeup, perfumes, or hairspray... Think of them as special occasion pieces.

This is a super cute bracelet, and I want to love it 100% however there is a little flaw that I had to fix myself. Where the wire is wrapped around the bracelet near the charm and initial, it's super sharp. I scratched my wrist twice, to the point that it broke the skin, so I had to take pliers and dull that edge. Other than that it's very cute!

Our chain bracelets have a standard length of 7 3⁄4 —8 1⁄2”, this measurement is end to end- including the lobster claw and end rings. Most bracelets come with 2 end rings making the piece slightly adjustable. We offer several different lengths of necklaces, but the most common are 18”, 24” and 30” necklaces. Other fashion lengths include 20”, 36”, 50”, and 68”.
Need a custom size? We find that most everyone can find a piece of our jewelry that is appropriate for them; however, every once in a while we get requests for custom sizes. We will happily place a special order for you if possible; please email us for pricing.
COTTON BALL PEARL CARE:
Our signature cotton ball pearls are really made out of cotton! It is real cotton that is then handspun into our beautiful pearls. While they are coated and lacquered, they are not meant for everyday wear~ and they do not like water, makeup, perfumes, or hairspray... Think of them as special occasion pieces.
We do offer cotton pearl replacements for a small fee! Email us for further instructions.
INTENDED USE (WEARABILITY):
We pride ourselves on offering a lot of look for a very reasonable price. That, in addition to the plated metals and the wide range of materials used, means that the jewelry should be treated with care and not worn every day...tempting as it is! But by including our designs as part of your jewelry wardrobe, our pieces will last for many years. (Customers and friends regularly show off their ‘vintage’ pieces from the 80’s and 90’s, and they still look great)! Also, gentle aging and wear are a natural part of the process, and actually enhance the vintage look of the designs.
CLEANING YOUR JEWELRY:
Jewelry should be stored in pouches or bags to keep the dust away. Silver-plated jewelry in particular should be stored in air-tight bags. If the silver tarnishes, use a dry 100% cotton cloth (and a little muscle) to wipe the piece clean.
Using silver polish, water, or polishing cloths can actually break the sealing coat and will ultimately cause the piece to tarnish more. Perfume, hairspray and lotions can also do harm. Also, showering with our jewelry will damage it as well since it is not fine gold.
Make our jewelry the last thing you put on when you’re getting ready.

We will happily repair any wear and tear to your jewelry within one year of your purchase date. Please include your proof of purchase with the repair. This warranty does not cover shipping charges, you are responsible for shipping the item to and from our studio for repair.
After one year of wear, fees for labor, parts and postage will apply. Repair costs vary depending on the age and condition of the product. We will do our best to estimate the charges before we begin the work.

Please be sure to email us first (info@johnwind.com) for a Return Authorization number.
If there is a charge for your repair, we will send you an invoice that you can complete online, and then we will begin your repair.
Repairs can take 2-4 weeks to get back to you. Please let us know if you need the item returned by a specific date.
Packaging
How will my item be packaged?
Your item will come in a small customized John Wind jewelry pouch with a romance card that tells you about our line.
Can I request a gift receipt?
Please request the gift receipt in the comments section.

What are my payment options?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover credit cards. Also, we accept Shopify Pay, ShopPay Installments & PayPal.
How do I know if my order was processed?
You will receive an order confirmation number at the conclusion of your order process as well as an email that states your order number and an approximate order total. Double check your email address before submitting to make sure it goes to the right place! If you placed your order through a password-protected online account, you may check the status of your order at any time by clicking on “My Account” once you are signed in and selecting “My Orders.”
Pending: We have not yet received your order, but it is in the system and will be entered shortly.
Processing: We are hard at work producing your order.
Shipped: A package is on its way to you! You will receive this email only when your item has been scanned in through the carrier. Please be patient as this can take time via our carriers.

To cancel your order please contact customer service, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Orders that have already shipped cannot be cancelled.
